What are Lifegroups?
Lifegroups are about Love, Inspiration, Friendship, and Evangelism. The mission of our Lifegroups is to provide a place for those who attend Victory Fellowship to live a life without limits by providing a place to make friends, to be inspired in their walk with God, and to develop their spiritual giftings.
Lifegroups are small groups of 8 to 12 people that meet at least twice a month. Each meeting lasts about an hour and a half. Lifegroups are a way to connect with God and with friends in an environment of unconditional love. These groups will acquaint you with loving, caring friends at Victory Fellowship. Lifegroups are a place to receive and discuss the Word with others. They are a place to receive personal ministry and prayer. They are a place to help you grow in your relationship with Christ and with others.
Who can attend a Lifegroup?
Any person who attends Victory Fellowship (as a member or non-member) can attend a Lifegroup. And those that attend can invite their friends.
Why should I attend a Lifegroup?
Lifegroups are intended to give our growing church the "small" feel. As Victory Fellowship continues to reach out and grow, Lifegroups provide a way for the members and friends of Victory Fellowship to continue to build relationships and connect with one another. You'll be able to make friends and share your life with others in this small group setting. Big things can happen in this small, friendly environment. You'll be able to receive the pastoral nurture that you need in this loving environment, and you'll have a place to bring your un-churched friends that will introduce them to the Christian lifestyle.
Servant Leaders
Those who lead in the kingdom of God are called to serve! Lifegroups are a place for those who aspire to obey God's call on their lives to develop their spiritual giftings in a safe environment of mentoring. If you're interested in hosting a group, give us a call or email us. We'd be delighted to talk to you!
Once you join a group, can the groups change?
Yes! Lifegroups are just like the cells in the human body; they grow and divide. Once a group reaches 10 to 12 people, it needs to form a new group with a leader that has been trained from within the original group. This keeps the groups vibrant and exciting.
Are Fellowship Groups the same as Lifegroups?
No! Fellowship Groups are for just what their name indicates. They meet only for fellowship! We have had Fellowship Groups for several years now, and they usually revolve around a theme. We have groups for hiking, tennis, bowling, nutrition, home schooling, singles, over 50's, a men's fellowship and a women's fellowship.
Lifegroups go a good bit deeper than Fellowship Groups. Both fulfill a vital need. Lifegroups are for personal growth and discipleship. Fellowships enable us to enjoy variety, fun, and friendship in a Christian environment.
